The Carlton Publishing Group expects the highest standards of work and professionalism from its employees, suppliers and contractors. Employees should refer to the Procedures Document on the company intranet for further information on in-house Quality Management. Suppliers and Contractors will be advised by their Carlton Publishing Group contact of Quality Management procedures relating to their field of activity.
EDITORIAL SUBMISSIONS POLICY
We are happy to consider material from potential new authors and agents. It is not necessary to telephone the Carlton Publishing Group prior to making a submission but please follow these guidelines.
- Check this website for the type of titles we publish.
- We do not wish to consider proposals for fiction, poetry, children's or academic books.
- All submissions should be sent by email to pmurrayhill@carltonbooks.co.uk.
- Do not send any originals or copies of typescripts or artwork, as we cannot accept liability for them, and they may not be returned. We do not accept submissions by fax or disk.
- Along with a covering letter, submissions should consist of a short synopsis, a list of selling points, the author's professional biography, information on competing titles and up to two chapters or 20 pages of the manuscript, whichever is the shorter.
Owing to the high volume of submissions we cannot guarantee to reply to each one individually.
We try to respond to submissions within four weeks of receipt but cannot guarantee to do so. At busy times of year we may take longer to consider material.
